Unenthused by the current crop of pop, they compare today’s popular music to that of the 1980s and play some early alt rock and place it in an historical context. In today’s podcast, Anthony Cekay sits down with mouthpiece designer Theo Wanne and mutli-instrumentalist and Rico Reed artist Tim Price. Theo was the very first podcast guest and Page4Music is very proud to welcome him back more than a year later. Since we last spoke, Theo has launched his performance line of mouthpieces. He also recently launched his clarinet mouthpieces, one of which is specifically designed for jazz musicians who double on clarinet. Tim demos the mouthpiece and shares his experiences playing it. Stefan is a graduate of Bard College (BA), Yale University (MA), and Princeton University (PhD). His composition instructors include David Lang, Joan Tower, Martin Bresnick, Steven Mackey, and Paul Lansky. Presently, he is on the faculty of Bard College’s HSEC in Queens, New York. He has also taught at Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program, the City College of New York, CUNY, and the Princeton University Department of Music.
